ROM Videos (Post-Cast)

Here are some videos I took of the range of motion in my ankle after I got my cast off. This first video was taken the day I got my cast off. I was sitting down for the video.

This second video is two days after I got my cast off, and I was standing up while filming it.

  1. Hi,

Thanks for the lovely and explanatory article regarding
    fibula fracture .

I had the same fracture on 11 December 2017 and doctors
informed me that I broke my calf and fibula and I need
surgery but as per doctor it will heal even when plastered

The doctors plastered me first and informed me that if it
does not heal within next 2 weeks then surgery is required.

When I came home I slipped on the floor
and also on two different occasion while using
the bathroom my foot was locked in the temporary
    toilet seat .

Finally after two weeks when I went to the hospital on 29 December 2017
the doctor informed me that the bone did not join
    and I require surgery .

On 29 December 2017 I went for surgery and after surgery
my leg was bandaged in cast like plaster and I got discharge on 31 December 2017.

I again went to hospital after a week on 6 Jan 2018 for dressing and left for home .

I again went to the hospital on 13 Jan 2018 to get my stitches removed . I could see staple like pins on ankle . Finally doctor did remove those metal pin and put my leg in cast and wrapped my leg using crape bandage .

Doctor only told me to open my leg while bathing and also advised me use mustard oil or coconut oil to make legs strong and also to remove scars
    from the operation .

I am not going to office from the day I was first plastered
and doctor did inform me that it will take 6 weeks to heal
after my operation that happened on 29 December 2017 .

Even after 6 weeks doctor has said that I don't have to
put my leg down on the floor and I have to only use a walker to walk .
My house is also on the second floor and there is no lift
so don't know how I will go to office .

I am just curious as how it can be fixed because I have join my job
and even I sit at home and I don't work my company will not pay me .

I am from India so don't know if the doctor is giving me correct
advice . I would like to know how much time it will take to heal
as I need to work .

Any advice is much appreciated . My email id is nishuji2727@gmail.com
